November 2019 Meeting – NCWA Members Speak

Tuesday, November 5th at 7pm
Mount Vernon Christian School
820 W Blackburn Rd, Mt Vernon, WA 98273

Due to a schedule change for our November speaker, we now have an opportunity to hear from two of our members.

Mike Titus, NCWA Webmaster, is going to fill us in on how to use the Forum, which, in case you didn’t know, is a feature on our website. The Board thinks the Forum can be a great asset to the club and can help fulfill at least part of the members’ interest in mentoring. But, in order for that to happen, we the members (and that includes Board Members) need to use it. And in order to use it, we have to know how. And that is what Mike has agreed to show us.

The second part of the program will feature our Vice-President, Jim Bucknell, who is going to discuss and show examples of a number of table saw jigs. He will discuss how and when he uses them and where he got the plans for the ones he has made. This will include a sacrificial fence, a tapering jig, a jig for safely ripping consistent thin strips, a tablesaw sled with a couple of accessories, and a couple of box joint jigs and maybe more! Jim will leave time for questions and will also allow time for members to come up and see the jigs up close.

We think this will be an interesting and informative program. We hope that, once it is over, you will agree! See you Tuesday night!
