Our September program will feature accomplished pyrographer Diane Frederick (that’s wood burning for those of us who don’t speak Latin). Diane has been professionally wood burning since the 80’s and works with both wood and gourds. She’ll speak about choosing the right wood and have samples of wood burning on different wood species. She’ll have samples of her work on gourds and talk about how this differs from working with wood. Diane will also discuss the different variety of wood burners available and the pro and cons of each type. Come and find out how this skill might be incorporated into your next woodworking project.
