ACCURACY IN MARKING & MEASURING

RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNING WOODWORKERS
Learn to mark dimensioned stock with a series of marking gauges and knives with precision. Learn to lay out and mark dimensioned stock for through tenons, dovetails, and square a circle.

Participants should bring:
pencil (preferably a 5 mm. lead holder),
eraser,
marking gauge (pin & slitting type, if you have them),
marking knife (not an XACTO knife!),
6″ (& 4″, if you have one) square,
6″ (& 12″ if you have both) flexible steel rule,
Bench / Paring chisels (set of 5 from 1/4″ to 3/4″)
Safety glasses and/or magnifying eyeware
Please bring a stool or chair.
