Hand Tool Fundamentals
RECOMMENDED FOR MEMBERS NEW TO WOODWORKING
Mark is a graduate of the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts in Boston and the Selkirk College School of Fine Woodworking and Furniture Design in British Columbia.
Working with hand tools and understanding their use is a fundamental skill that is helpful in any facet of woodworking.
The class will cover sharpening & tuning of your hand tools (bench planes, chisels, cabinet and card scrapers, proper technique, and doing small projects to practice these skills.
Come with your own hand tools or come empty handed & Mark will provide them for the class. You should also bring a lunch!
There will be hands-on activity. Please bring personal protective equipment (eye, hearing & respiratory protection).
